New facebook page

It occurred to me, after seeing another LibriVox reader do so, to create myself a facebook page for my voice work. It’s here.

There’s not much yet beyond posts for new releases.

For anyone who’s interested, and is a fan of hers, the LibriVoxer who gave me the idea was Elizabeth Klett (aka gloriana).

Dark Music

My latest audiobook: Dark Music by Janis Susan May.

A blizzard, romance writers and murder. Elizabeth MacAllister thought she had more to deal with than she could handle. Then Jared Granville showed up and Elizabeth knew her past had returned to haunt her. She couldn’t run away any longer. Not even to save her own life.

A Charming Crime

My latest audiobook: A Charming Crime (A Magical Cures Mystery) by Tonya Kappes.

Bubble…bubble…
June Heal has nothing to lose when she relocates her homeopathic cure shop, A Dose of Darla, from the flea market booth in her home town, to a quaint shop in the cozy but unusual little town of Whispering Falls, Kentucky. Or so it seems.

Cures and trouble…
Whispering Falls has a lot of secrets. From talking snow globes to whispering animals not to mention a few sprinkles of fairy dust, June realizes Whispering Falls is more magical than she thought…literally.

Brewed, Crude and Tattooed

My latest audiobook: Brewed, Crude and Tattooed (A Maggy Thorsen Mystery) by Sandra Balzo.

It’s May 1st and in Wisconsin that means the daffodils and hyacinths are poking up their heads. Unfortunately, it also means they may freeze their little buds off.
The Perfect Spring Storm arrives without warning or so it seems to Maggy Thorsen, co-owner of the Brookhills coffeehouse Uncommon Grounds. Trapped by the storm which cuts off electricity and downs phone lines, Maggy ventures into the service corridor that connects Uncommon Grounds to the rest of the mall, looking for sustenance beyond espresso and pastries.
What she finds instead is the body of Way Benson, local developer and owner of the mall. Maggy’s discovery unearths other refugees of the storm and it seems that more than one of these people has a motive for killing the arrogant Way. Cut off by the snow, Maggy has to be content to leave Way to become a corpse-sicle until she can get hold of her main squeeze, County Sheriff Jake Pavlik. Content, that is, until another member of their intrepid little group is killed and the coffee – sans electricity – gets even colder than the bodies.

The Godhead Machine

My latest finished audiobook: The Godhead Machine (Digital Sea #2) by Thomas K. Carpenter.

“An old enemy seizes control of the newly expanded Wiki-religion to create a new world order. To stop him, Zel must join forces with a mega-celebrity doing penance and an orphan girl out for revenge. However, mired on a thawing city in Greenland, she cannot just use her considerable powers to bend reality and fix the problem. Instead, she must turn her greatest weakness – understanding people – into a strength or doom the planet to endless religious war.”

Bean There, Done That

My latest finished audiobook: Bean There, Done That (A Maggy Thorsen Mystery) by Sandra Balzo. When Maggy’s ex-husband’s new wife goes missing, Maggy must try to clear her ex’s name, for their son’s sake.

So this happened

On my twitter feed this morning.

Grounds for Murder

My latest finished audiobook: Grounds for Murder by Sandra Balzo, Book 2 in the Maggy Thorsen series. When Maggy gets steamrollered into judging the barista competition at the local coffee show, she knows no good will come of it. Little does she realize how right she ends up being.

UK 2012

I went back to the UK for the first time in nine years this past October. My cousin Andy’s twin baby daughters turned a year old during my visit. I made each of them a stuffed animal for their birthday.

I think they went over well.

It was also my dad’s birthday during my visit. Dad has Alzheimer’s, and it’s been several years since I last saw him, so I wasn’t sure how the visit would go. But, he recognized me when I first arrived (though later he thought I was his older sister), and went as well as could be expected.

Lesson learned during this visit: visit more often, so you’re not moving the entire time, trying to fit in everyone in a short trip.
